Finding the right gym is a crucial factor for your training success. Whether you're looking to build muscle, do strength training or general fitness - the studio should be the perfect fit for your needs. Not only the equipment, opening times and atmosphere play a role, but also the location and price-performance ratio. An unsuitable studio can quickly reduce motivation and hinder progress. He believed that correctly designed equipment could make training safer, more effective and more accessible. Through his innovations, Arthur Jones not only shaped the fitness industry, but also laid the scientific foundation for modern strength training, which is still used in many fitness studios around the world today. 

4.2 There is no one “best manufacturer”

This significantly influences muscle activation and the training effect. Height and angle adjustments as well as resistance adjustments make it possible to tailor the training precisely to your own body size, mobility and training goals, ensuring personalized and effective use of the equipment. 

4.4 The advantages of equipment over free exercises 

Training on machines offers a number of advantages over training with free weights, especially for beginners and for specific training goals. One of the biggest advantages is ease of use and safety. Fitness machines are often more user-friendly because they automatically guide the movement sequence and posture, which reduces the risk of mistakes and injuries. Especially for beginners who have no experience with the correct technique, machines are a safe way to train effectively without running the risk of using the wrong technique or overexerting yourself. 

Another advantage is isolated muscle activation. Equipment allows you to specifically train certain muscle groups without having to place a lot of strain on the stabilizing muscles. This can be particularly beneficial if you want to concentrate on a specific muscle group or get back into training after an injury. In addition, many devices offer individual adjustability so that they are suitable for different body sizes and shapes and also offer a constant resistance curve throughout the entire movement cycle. This leads to an even load on the muscle, which can increase the training effect. Another advantage of equipment is that they often take up less space and efficiently enable several exercises in a short time, which makes them particularly practical for training in crowded gyms or for home gyms . In combination with easier progressive resistance (easier to increase resistance), training progress can be implemented more easily and in a more controlled manner without compromising technique.
