Urs Kalecinski

Kalecinski's Career at a Glance

Urs Kalecinski

"the miraclebear" on his way to Mr. Olympia

Urs Kalecinski, known as "the miraclebear," was born in 1998 in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany, with Polish
roots.

His passion for sports runs in the family—his mother was a ballerina, his father a Polish weightlifter, and his older brother Sergej competed as a Bundesliga gymnast. Inspired by Sergej, Urs discovered his
love for bodybuilding at an early age.

At just 14 years old, he entered a gym for the
first time, accompanied by his brother. Without a structured training plan but with clear goals, he aimed to bench press 100 kg by his 15th birthday—and he
did. At 16, former bodybuilder Paul Buksbaum noticed his potential. Observing Urs' dedication and training style, Buksbaum was impressed by his physique and
symmetry, convincing him to compete in bodybuilding.

First Bodybuilding Competitions and Achievements

At 17, Urs trained under Buksbaum and competed
in his first contest on April 23, 2016, at the DBFV Youth and Junior Championship in Fulda, placing fourth in the under 76.5 kg category.

Just weeks later, on May 28, 2016, he participated in the GNBF Championship (German Natural Bodybuilding &
Fitness Federation), finishing sixth in the under 78.2 kg category.

These early placements fueled his ambition to
improve and aim for the top.

In 2018, at just 19, Kalecinski made a major
comeback on stage. Competing at the ANBF (Austrian Natural Bodybuilding & Fitness Federation) in Austria, he won the Youth, Junior, and Men's categories
in the under 85 kg division, securing the overall title as well. From that moment, he earned the title "Natural Pro."

A week later, at the 15th GNBF German
Championship & GNBB Pro 2018, he claimed first place in Junior Bodybuilding. That same evening, he made his professional debut in the Natural
Pro's division, finishing fourth.

During his GNBF years, Kalecinski attended the
Kiedaisch Sports School in Stuttgart, where he trained as a sports teacher.

The Path to IFBB Pro

Following his success, Kalecinski moved to
Switzerland in 2019 for a job opportunity and to fully commit to his dream of becoming a professional athlete. His goal that year: earning his IFBB Pro Card.

Working in a gym while preparing for a Pro
Qualifier—a competition every aspiring IFBB Pro must win—he finally succeeded on his third attempt. He won the Iceland Pro Show Qualifier in the Classic
Physique category, securing the coveted IFBB Pro Card at just 21 years old.

Returning home briefly, he became a full-time
influencer. With his rising success, he secured his first sponsorship deal with ESN, allowing him to focus entirely on his professional bodybuilding career.

Collaboration with Stefan Kienzl

After a short recovery period, Urs sought a
coach. He reached out to Stefan Kienzl, whose work had impressed him. He first sent Kienzl an email,f ollowed by a personal introduction letter—and in 2020,
their partnership began, proving to be a highly successful collaboration.

That same year, Urs met his partner Alisha, whom
he affectionately calls “Alitsche.” In August 2020, they moved in together to Berlin.
Since then, they've become a strong team, sharing their progress and daily life on social media, inspiring many young athletes.

Goals and Future Outlook

Kalecinski has set his sights on one goal for
2025: Winning Mr. Olympia in Classic Physique.

After three consecutive 3rd place finishes and
the retirement of six-time champion Chris Bumstead, Kalecinski has a strong chance of taking the title.

In January of this year, he announced a new
training partnership with none other than Joe Bennett (@hypertrophycoach)—the mastermind behind training plans for athletes like Terrence Ruffin, Chris Bumstead, and WWE star Dave Bautista.
